My Journey in Ministry

Like many who have answered the call to serve, I, too, have a beginning story.

Some of my earliest memories are rooted in the church, where I learned to love Sunday worship, cherish moments of fellowship, and embrace the sense of belonging that comes from serving alongside others. I experienced the laughter shared behind the scenes of ministry, the friendships formed through meetings and outings, and the countless moments that transformed fellow servants into family.

​

Over the years, I also came to understand the deeper realities of ministry. I have served alongside many different personalities, ministered to members and visitors from all walks of life, and learned valuable lessons in patience, grace, and wisdom. I know what it means to pour yourself into the work of the church while balancing the responsibilities of home and family. I have walked through seasons of stretching, growth, and transition, seasons when God lovingly redirected my path and called me to serve in new capacities for His greater purpose.

My ministry journey began in 1999 within the Baptist church, and what an extraordinary journey it has been. As a young usher, I eagerly welcomed everyone who entered the church doors, learning early the importance of hospitality, attentiveness, and spiritual discernment. What seemed like a simple role became a powerful foundation for understanding servant leadership and caring for God's people.

As the years progressed, God continued to expand my responsibilities and deepen my commitment to service. I stepped into leadership roles as an assistant ministry leader, where I was challenged to maintain order, foster unity, and support the vision of ministry while navigating the ever-changing needs of those I served. Those experiences stretched me beyond my comfort zone and taught me the importance of adaptability, teamwork, and unwavering faith.

Later, I had the privilege of serving as a deacon aide, a role that allowed me to minister through encouragement, compassion, creativity, and support. Whether helping to meet practical needs, offering a listening ear, or contributing fresh ideas to strengthen ministry efforts, I discovered that even the smallest acts of service can have a lasting impact on the lives of others.

Each role became a classroom for growth. Every challenge refined my character. Every opportunity to serve strengthened my faith. Through every season, I witnessed the faithfulness of God and gained a deeper understanding of leadership, humility, perseverance, and the joy found in serving His people.

What began as a willingness to serve eventually evolved into something greater, a calling to encourage and empower others through the lessons God had taught me along the way.

In 2014, that calling gave birth to In The Chair With Joy.

​

More than a ministry, In The Chair With Joy became the natural continuation of my journey, a place where years of ministry experience, personal growth, spiritual reflection, and heartfelt service converged. It was born from a desire to create meaningful conversations, inspire transformation, and encourage people to embrace God's purpose for their lives, no matter what season they may be in.

​

Every chapter of my story has prepared me for the next. From ushering at the church doors to serving in leadership, from learning through challenges to celebrating God's victories, each experience has reinforced one truth: God uses every season of our lives to shape us for His purpose.

​

Today, through In The Chair With Joy, I continue the mission that began decades ago, serving with joy, encouraging with purpose, and inspiring others to trust God's plan, embrace their calling, and discover the beauty of the journey He has uniquely designed for them.

​

I enjoy learning and I value the things of my interest; my family is my bundle grace. Including I have obtained a Masters Cybersecurity M.S. and a Bachelors in Communication Media B.A. . To be fair my career have grown and shaped around law in which God blesses my integrity in the industry.

​​

It is a joy to be with you as God wraps his loving arms around us all. It is real God love his kids and God maturity is beyond the level of grace.
